- Printers' Ink-1920 - Herman joins 'Fire and Water Engineering' - As noted in Herman's 1943 Bio, he was Production Manager of the Case-Shepherd-Mann Publishing Corp in NYC. They published four leaders: "Water Works Engineering" "Fire Engineering" "Sewage Works Engineering" and "Electricity on the Farm." He started with the company in 1920 as an "assistant advertising manager of a magazine then known as "Fire and Water Engineering." "That one paper was the foundation of the above group of four leading business magazines."

|
- 1916 Letter to Herman from his Mother - In the letter, his mother says, "Dont forget it hurts me when I dont hear from you."
I hope Herman wrote or saw his mother after the letter because she died less than 7 weeks later.
